The “Slide-and-Swap” Approach
We stopped doing those hard-wired, integrated arrays that make you want to pull your hair out during a repair. Instead, we use a chassis with dedicated slots for every heating element. If a tube gives up the ghost after five years of hard work, you don’t have to rewire the whole unit. You just pull the dead module out and slide a new one in. We swapped out the soldered joints for standardized quick-connect terminals. This means a technician can get in and out in minutes. No need to spend an hour studying the electrical board just to find where a wire goes.
Getting the Heat Where It Actually Matters
These units use shortwave infrared. Rather than trying to heat the air—which just floats up and gets trapped at the ceiling—these push heat straight down to the floor and the people working on it. It’s fast. Really fast. But here is the catch: high-wattage tubes pull a lot of power. Before you install these, double-check your distribution board. You need to make sure it can handle the peak inrush current when the arrays kick on. If your wiring is too thin, you’ll be tripping breakers the second the first winter cold snap hits.
Making Life Easier for the Maintenance Crew
Maintenance is all about access. We designed the footprint so the heating elements aren’t buried under structural beams or hidden in tight corners. You can get to the tubes from the side. It’s simple. It’s clean. And it means you aren’t fumbling around in the dark, risking a crack in the glass while you’re trying to fix things. When a tube finally hits its limit, you swap it and get back to work. Your facility keeps running, and nobody has to spend their Tuesday waiting for a lift to arrive.
